Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree: a 3 meter high statue up for grabs, with a competition

Get yourself into a house 3 meter tall statue of Messmer the Impaler It’s not a simple thing, but we don’t doubt that the big fans of Elden Ring they would be happy to face the problem, resulting from the first prize expected in a competition announced by Bandai Namco for the launch of the expansion Shadow of the Erdtree.

It’s about the Return to Grace Video Contest, and it is an interesting initiative, even beyond the extravagant prizes up for grabs, because it directly involves the community in something creative. Unfortunately, it is not intended for users resident in Italy, since it is currently limited only to the USA.

The request is to create a trailer that takes 5 minutes and upload it to YouTube, X or Vimeo, at the same time requesting to take part in the contest organized by Bandai Namco.

Awards also for other categories

The publisher will then have to choose the best trailer created by the users according to the rules of the competition, and the winner will receive as a prize a colossal statue of Messmer the Impaler, 3 meters high.

We don’t know exactly how such an object can be managed, but we have no doubt that it could represent a sort of dream for game enthusiasts. Furthermore, it could be a record for collectible statues, far surpassing the 45 cm statuette (already notable in its own right) that was presented, also taking up the now famous gag on the dimensions of these tools.

The other prizes are also interesting: whoever obtains the special recognition of “best director” will receive a life-size replica of the Malenia’s armwhile other categories will have further special prizes.

In the meantime, we’ve learned that Shadow of the Erdtree will be the first and last DLC for the game, as well as details on difficulty and the new progression system.
