As per tradition, we are on the first Tuesday of the new month with the news of PlayStation Plus, with the “free” games for PS4 and PS5 of the month of May which I am available from todayMay 7, for subscribers at all levels of Sony’s service starting with Essential.
These were announced last week and we also analyzed them in the usual overview, but in case you missed them, they are the following titles:
This is a rather rich shipment, which includes four titles and among which we find games of considerable interest, even real best sellers such as the football title by EA, always at the top of the charts especially in these parts.
Current May PlayStation Plus games will be available until June 4ththe date on which they will be replaced by the new proposals next month, and can be downloaded by all PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra and Premium subscribers.
An overview of May’s games
EA Sports FC 24 needs very little introduction: it is the new version of EA’s annual football simulation, which in this case adopts a new name for the first time due to the expiration of the agreements with FIFA for the use of the name acronym .
There was some speculation that this change would have an impact on the popularity of the game, but in reality FC 24 is doing very well on the market at least as well as the previous FIFA 23, so the tradition has remained perfectly intact.
Ghostrunner 2 is a first-person action game that mixes combat with platform movements, characterized by a fascinating and disturbing cyberpunk world. The protagonist is a sort of technological ninja with particularly lightning-fast movements, which gives a notable appeal to the gameplay, as does the setting structured as a sort of tower in which to advance from level to level.
Tunic it’s one of the best indie titles of these years, quite simply. Defined by many as a sort of Zelda-like, in truth Andrew Shouldice’s title has a very strong and very particular identity, as is revealed by playing.
Starting from the fantastic idea of the “instruction booklet” to be revealed, Tunic turns out to be a game capable of offering challenging combat in certain cases but also truly creative and stimulating puzzles, a truly obligatory game for those looking for something peculiar.
In the end, Destiny 2: The Eclipse represents one of the major expansions for the Bungie game, released about a year ago and still representing perhaps one of the best ways to launch yourself into the science fiction universe in question, thanks to the remarkable completeness of the contents inside.
