Nothing to do for those who want to oppose the Fiat Panda. It ended like all the other times. The result is again striking

Since its arrival in 1980 in the very first series, perhaps the most iconic and which almost every Italian has driven at least once in his life, the Fiat Panda has inaugurated a virtuous circle for its manufacturer brand, now part of the Stellantis Group which has found in this car one of the best-selling small cars of all time.

Maybe it’s because of the pleasant design, maybe it’s because of the small size suitable for the city, because of the low price – close to 15 thousand euros but it depends a lot on the set-up and engine – or maybe because it’s just purely attractive. The fact remains that, on the market, the Panda still outperforms the competition. This is confirmed by further data arrived in the last few hours.

According to data collected by UNRAE, the Panda was the sales leader in Italy also in April with notable gaps from the direct pursuers in the top ten. A further success that confirms the success of this model while awaiting the launch of the new version scheduled for next July.

Fiat Panda, the undisputed queen

According to data for the month of April 2024, registrations of new vehicles in Italy have undergone a significant surge. In the past thirty days they have been well 135,984 cars sold in our country on the new car market. An important number that marks a clear recovery in the sector awaiting the arrival of the much-needed state incentives.

The Fiat Panda is once again the best-selling car of the month: in fact, 10,314 units were delivered in April. The small car from Fiat also leads another ranking.

In its Hybrid version, Panda is in fact the best-selling car with 10,149 units in total, an impressive figure considering that the sector is still struggling to take off. Electric and plug-ins, on the other hand, are led respectively by Tesla – the Model Y marks another 237 registrations – and Cupra with the 331 Formentors sold in the past month.

As regards the ranking of the best-selling cars ever, the Fiat Panda precedes another best seller on our market, namely the Dacia Sandero, second with 5179 cars sold. Third place Lancia Ypsilon which gets 3179 still with the old model. Closing out the top 5 are the Citroen C3 (3792) and the Toyota Yarsi (3571). The ranking continues from sixth to tenth position with Ford Puma (2960), Renault Clio (2939), Peugeot 208 (2850), the new entry MG ZS (2656) and the Jeep Avenger (2586)
