With the renewed success of Fallout 4 thanks to the Amazon Prime Video television series, even the mod of the game can gain new visibility and the developers of Fallout: Miami they took precisely this opportunity to release a new trailer for their project, which is actually very promising.
Fallout: Miami is a project in development for almost 6 years, so it is a work of considerable scope for modders, which aims to stage a new story within a new setting, obviously linked to the engine and features of Fallout 4 but with completely new elements.
This is also clearly visible in the trailer published in recent days, shown above.
According to what was reported by the modders, the central theme of the story is a clash between the search for order and freedom, while the setting is a post-apocalyptic Vacation Wasteland near Miami Beach.
A new setting
The most peculiar element is therefore the new setting, centered on a place once considered pleasant and dedicated to vacation but it clearly became something else, after the apocalyptic destruction of the United States.
The new city of Fallout: Miami is home to several factions with different addresses, in constant contrast with each other to create a multifaceted and somewhat lively society, with which the player will have to interact in various ways following the different quests.
The old Sunshine Cove, a sort of “kingdom” of slavers, now finds itself threatened by a nomadic population called the Nuclear Patriots, who seem to have a sort of adoration for cars. The various factions fight among themselves to control the environment of Miami and the player must navigate through this war and try to bring the area into a new era.
In the meantime, Fallout 4 got the long-awaited next gen update which led to various controversies on PC, while it seems to be doing better on consoles, in particular on Xbox Series
