The iconic luxury brand Lamborghini is preparing for a technical revolution. What will we see new on the next models.
When you think of a sports car we imagine a product with a large displacement, a high number of horsepower, capable ofi reach thrilling and noisy speeds. To those less familiar with the topic, the topic of sound might seem secondary, but it isn’t at all. For many, if the sports car on duty doesn’t emit a roar that gets into your stomach, it’s worth little.
The issue may not be particularly worrisome if the automotive world was not at the center of an epochal change, with the entry of electric motorization which, together with pollution, also reduces the roar of the soul that moves the vehicle. Precisely for this reason, companies dedicated to the creation of sportscars and hypercars have had to find solutions. Others have refused, at least so far, to comply with the requests of the European Commission. For his part Lamborghini has opted for a certain attitude which is clear from the launch of its new jewel.
Lamborghini changes everything, what will happen now
The new one was revealed for the first time at the 2021 Geneva Motor Show Huracan STO mixes fun with pure performance to unleash on the track. In fact, it is moved by a powerful and very traditional man 5.2 naturally aspirated V10 with 640 hp and 565 Nm of torque. The transition from zero to one hundred km/h is accomplished in just 3 seconds and by pressing hard on the gas you can reach 310 km/h.
On the scales we are in the order of 1,374 kg, with a lot of attention dedicated to aerodynamics. The rigid suspensions stand out to implement agility and precision in driving. At the front there is a bumper with splitter and large air intakes. The miniskirts and the adjustable rear wing are also evident. The alloy wheels are 20 inches and the tires are Pirelli Trofeo R. The interior is made up of carbon and Alcantara seats, the steering wheel is multifunction and the instrumentation is digital.

Essentially nothing except that the moment of conversion to full electric is approaching for the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand too, which is why this wonderful jewel on four wheels could be the last with an internal combustion engine. According to company plans, a hybrid model should arrive as early as 2025, while the limit for the transformation of all production to battery has been set at 2030.
