Lords of the Fallen: the final “Master of Fate” update is available, CI Games is thinking about the sequel

The developers at Hexworks have published the‘update 1.5 Of Lords of the Fallentitled “Master of Fate”, which concludes the substantial roadmap of content and post-launch changes, with the team now aiming to “ensure that even more players are attracted to the next game in the series“.

The update introduces the “Advanced Game Modifier System“, basically modifiers that can be activated at will by the player which can profoundly transform the experience offered by souls-like.

Among these we find, for example, an option that randomizes the spawn of enemies and the loot obtained, and another that increases the number of opponents present in the environments. For a Bloodborne experience, there is also a modifier that limits the effects of healing and at the same time allows you to recover health by attacking enemies, forcing an offensive style of play.

Lords of the Fallen at 1.3 million copies, CI Games wants to expand the franchise

As mentioned at the beginning, the “Master of Fate” update concludes the Lords of the Fallen roadmap and represents the culmination of over 30 post-launch updates which have significantly improved the overall gaming experience, with significant optimizations to the performance and stability of the game, changes to the PvE balance of PvP, new quests, armor and weapon sets, additional bosses, new spells and various measures for life quality.

The team is now ready to focus on next Lords of the Fallenas Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games, confirmed in an interview with IGN, where he also revealed that the game had reached 1.3 million copies sold at the end of 2023, 100,000 more than those recorded at the end of November.

“From its release to December 31 last year, sales of Lords of the Fallen totaled approx 1.3 million copies“Tyminski said.

“This is a solid result, which allows us to plan further development of the franchise. Now, our goal is to ensure that the next installments attract even more players, partly thanks to refined and improved game design, and partly thanks to the growing popularity of this IP.”
