Storing cell phones, especially older ones, is not exactly an excellent solution: problems could arise
We all are fond of the past and to the objects that have identified our lives and which will remain imprinted forever. Not just the first ball, or maybe the first car but also cell phonesThat they weren’t super high-tech and as modern as those of this generation.
The mobile phones about 15-20 years old ago they didn’t have the applications with which it is now possible to do everything: from work to sending audio messages, videos and PDF documents.
They were much heavier and also bulky, but they marked an era and there are certainly people who have cherished them affectionately. But be careful, because they might some problems arise.
Do not store cell phones
Incredible but true, keep at home in drawers or even inside boxes of old cell phones or smartphones it could turn out to be really dangerous. They are usually kept in case there is damage to the new cell phone to be used as “substitute”.
First of all why not using them the more these objects would attract as much dust as they could be dangerous for the rooms and chambers of houses.
Inside cell phones there are always batterieswhich despite not being used remain highly flammable products and the case of a hypothetical short circuit it’s tall. Furthermore, they are composed of metals which would be highly harmful to the surrounding environment.
Recycle cell phones
What are the options then to choose to get rid of old phones? Throw them in the trash? Never! It would be better to dispose of it, or if it is useful to someone, give it away if it still works.
If you decide to permanently throw away your old phone, first of all this applies worth seeing inside there are still videos, photos or images to prevent anyone from being able to trace them back to the protection of your privacy.
Cancel definitively every information and data and then recycle it. But where? Through it “responsible disposal”: There are various centers in Italy where it is possible to dispose of cell phones, for example in ecological islands and in the appropriate ones WEEE centers present in the various Italian municipalities.
Or in various phone shops who carry out these procedures to collect these old phones or perhaps sell them at super discounted prices on the various sites with the option “WEEE collection” which allows the customer to return the old mobile phone when the new one is delivered.
Check carefully in the drawers of your homes if there are telephones of a certain age to also avoid possible environmental damage.
