It is a title that offers a wide variety in terms of renovation, testing players’ skills at cleaning, arranging and decorating. The game was initially launched in December 2023 on PC and, now, the time has finally come to see it in action also on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
Inside House Flipper 2 there will be plenty of opportunities to put your artistic flair to the test, revolutionizing homes of dubious taste. The launch on console also promises the arrival of some new featuressuch as a new minigame, and the Spring Update, which introduces some additional new design elements.

Let’s give vent to our creativity
As in the original version, Also House Flipper 2 grants players plenty of tools to be able to take on some renovations which involve the cleaning and renovation of some homes, as well as the purchase of dilapidated houses, in order to be able to transform them into real wonders and resell them to the highest bidder.
It starts with a good thorough cleaning, a painting and, finally, we get to the decorations: going from a shack to a palace is a matter of a few hours of work. It is in fact a place where we can give vent to all our creativity, without any type of stress or worry, without having to follow any guidelines and without having to submit to anyone’s judgment – except our own.
Although its predecessor had been expanded with many DLC, House Flipper 2 has managed to make good progress since its Steam version launched in December 2023. The game has tons of color options, decorations and offers a lot of variety.
There really are a lot of choices to choose from and many tools and options that allow you to create very interesting designs. If you love creativity and renovation, I can say that you can’t help but love this title: ci you will spend many hours inside without (almost) realizing it.
A version that treasures the past
One of the best parts of the console version is that, taking advantage of what we learned from that PC, comes with all hotfixes and updates that have been released so far. This means that there is no shortage ofUpdate “Floor is Lava” and the Spring Updates. In fact, the version that we tested on PlayStation 5 it is almost identical to the one for PC.
Joypad-adapted controls on consoles get by, though obviously can’t truly replicate the precision of the mouse.
Of course, there will be a little variation in the commands they will have adapt to the joypad. Initially, if you are not familiar with the controller, yes it will take some time to navigatebut, in the end, you won’t have any major problems – this is coming from a person who plays mainly on mouse and keyboard.
The only real shame is that House Flipper 2 does not use feedback features DualSense tactile; certainly, giving space to the capabilities of the PlayStation controller could have increased the effectiveness of some parts of the renovation even further.
In general, however, playing with the controller isn’t that badwhile the same precision cannot be expected that we find on PC playing with mouse and keyboard. Furthermore, within the game, there will be some settings to adjust the sensitivity of the controller.
Finally, there is also no shortage of different options allow you to have a sort of “aim assist” for some particular operations. There are some features that come in handy to be able to balance the inaccuracy of the controller, such as setting limits in the painting phase, which does not allow us to go and paint part of the ceiling while we are painting the walls. Unfortunately, however, some operations are still complicated compared to the use of a mouse and keyboard, even with the support of these aids.
In House Flipper 2 players will be able to choose the mode you preferfrom the more directed one linked to the story, to the freer one, through the modality Sandboxes. In any case, each proposed activity is fun and not too binding: in general, it seems decidedly more streamlined than its predecessor.
Collect rubbish, clean, build walls: everything seems decidedly simpler and less cumbersome. Of course, it is certainly less tiring than doing it in reality. Even the aids seem aimed at providing a relaxing experience; in addition to the aforementioned limitations related to painting, we also have indications that allow us to understand what to do when we accept a job.
Furthermore, it will be impossible for us to sell anything useful to get the job done; on the one hand, therefore, we have the certainty of not being able to commit no fatal errorsOn the other hand, however, some players may feel too calm.
Yes, but what’s new?
As mentioned, House Flipper 2 also features some small additions which can make the game even more enjoyable and which presents its mechanics in a slightly different way.
The update Floor is Lavain fact, allows us to take a short break from the more classic works, with a very fun moment: we will be asked to clean up a small studio at the end of a launch party for a new VR game: Floor is Lava.
During the arrangement of the room, we will have the opportunity to interact with the VR viewers scattered around the studio which will allow us to play some levels of a mini-game which is based on the famous game “Floor is Lava”.
Apart from this, House Flipper 2 also features an “assembly” function which, however, is not very playable at launch. This is a sort of tutorial that should explain how to assemble different objects. Unfortunately, however, we did not have the opportunity to delve too deeply into this functionality, as we encountered different interaction problems.
Playing on console isn’t that bad
The PlayStation 5 version of House Flipper 2 it is, all in all, very pleasant. Compared to the predecessor, we find an improved and pleasing to the eye look. The colors are bright and lively, everything is quite fluid, although, during gameplay, we noticed some small variations in frame rate which, on some occasions, bothered us a bit — especially during rapid movements.
In general, however, it is an absolutely enjoyable game that is enjoyable to watch. As far as the audio sector is concerned, we have nothing exceptional: the music is quite anonymous, but it is also relaxing enough to be able to play the title in peace without any particular worries.
The game is, generally speaking, very fun and entertaining, and offers so many ideas to keep you glued to the screen. In addition to the assembly part, We did not encounter any other particular problems during our review. The PlayStation 5 version is therefore pleasant, although the controller does not offer the same precision that a mouse and keyboard could offer.
In any case, thanks to the help present, it will be possible to play without too many problems. The story is interesting, but the sandbox mode is on another level: we will spend hours and hours without even realizing that we are playing. There are many tools, many objects and many decoration and design possibilities. In short, House Flipper 2 manages to establish itself as an excellent proposal for lovers of renovations and video games based on work routines which, for example Power Wash Simulatormix this nature with a relaxing soul of “virtual fatigue” and pure pastime.
