The most interesting feature, however, concerns the transmission, entrusted to an electromechanical system which works on a 6-speed gearbox. It is equipped with electric actuators for clutch and transmission, which engage the gears in a completely automatic or sequential-manual way (activated by the rider with handlebar controls). The final drive is by chain and not by belt as one might think, while the engine is an in-line twin-cylinder with liquid cooling, a very widespread architecture in this market segment due to the simplicity of construction, the relatively low cost of production and the possibility of adapting the engine to a multiplicity of motorcycle models.
The distribution is double overhead camshaft, with 4 valves per cylinder, compression ratio 11.6:1 and a displacement of 400 cc. The declared power for this parallel twin, already in use on several Cyclone motorcycle models, is 45 HP (33 kW) at 9,500 rpm and 37 Nm of maximum torque at 8,000 rpm. Values in line with European legislation regarding category A2 driving licence.
