Considering that the Delta emulator is ranked first on the App Store in several countries, we took the arrival of further applications for granted of the kind, which as we know are now permitted by Apple in response to European regulations.
Already available on Android for some time, GEKKO C64 it was reprogrammed from scratch in this iOS version and emulates the graphics, floppy drive and cassette support of the glorious Commodore 64, as well as the joystick functionality.
The software also adds several extra featuressuch as quick loads and the ability to manage the playback of intros.
An unforgettable computer
Launched in the summer of 1982, the Commodore 64 sold up to 17 million units despite a decidedly high price for the time, equal to almost 600 dollars, also thanks to a very widespread distribution system that was not limited to specialized shops.
