After more than ten years of radar silence, the series Silent Hill has reappeared on the market with great success: first with the remake of the second chapter, released in 2024, and then with Silent Hill f in 2025. Two projects that have rekindled the interest of historical fans and attracted a new wave of players.
In short, Konami’s survival horror seems to be back with the intention of staying. Further confirmation comes from Producer Motoi Okamoto in a recent interview with Famitsu, where he stated that the goal is release one new game per year.
Will Silent Hill become an annual series?
“With the release of Silent Hill 2 in October 2024 and Silent Hill f in September 2025, the series is finally back on track,” said the saga producer. “Our goal is to release approximately one title per year, including both those already announced and those not yet revealed. We don’t know how far we will be able to go, but as producer of the series I will do my best. Ideally we will keep the attention around Silent Hill constant. We will continue to work hard to bring you new updates, so we hope you can wait a little longer.”

Silent Hill 1 remake could show up very soon, according to a leak
We already know some of the projects in the pipeline between main titles and spin-offs, such as the remake of the first Silent Hill, once again entrusted to Bloober Team, and the mysterious Silent Hill Townfall, born from the collaboration with Annapurna Interactive.
As underlined by Okamoto they are scheduled other games also in development whose existence we do not know. In a previous interview, the producer had even suggested that, following the example of Silent Hill f, future chapters could be set in completely new locations for the series, such as Russia, South Korea and even Italy. All that remains is to see what Konami has in store for the future.
