Toro’s slowdown, Cagliari’s coup. After two consecutive victories, the Granata fell to the Olimpico (in front of 23,218 spectators). Great comeback for the Sardinians, who went from 1-0 to 1-2, collecting three important points for the race to safety. Vlasic opens and never stops: 5 goals in the last 6 days (plus 2 assists), as many as in the entire last championship, a Haaland-like pace. Prati responds, with the first center in the championship.
In the second half Kilicsoy closes the score with his second goal in the last two days. The Granata had almost triple the number of shots on target compared to the guests (10-4) but, thanks to the excellent Caprile, they failed to enter the left column of the table. And they confirm theirs taboo with that third consecutive victory that has been missing in the championship since March 2019.
Baroni relaunches Simeone among the starters after 49 dayspaired with Adams. Pisacane surprisingly renounces Sebastiano Esposito and entrusts the attack to Kilicsoy and Gaetano. The second half opens with a Vlasic’s header attempt neutralized by Caprilewhich then repeats on a central plate by Adamstriggered by a break from the unleashed Gineitis. The rossoblù, in blue uniform, devour such a great opportunity with Kilicsoywhich shoots off target. In the 66th minute the great goal from the Turk, who takes the ball in midfield, dribbles past Asllani and Gineitis, and with his left foot strikes Paleari at the edge of the pole.
The Granata, with Zapata in place of Adams, respond with one Ismajli squash and with a great left foot from Gineitis, but Caprile responds presently. Baroni increases Toro’s offensive weight by inserting Ngonge in place of Asllani. But it is the other substitute Ilkhan who tries to equalize with a blocked swing from Caprile, who then concedes a second and a third on the gorings of Simeone and Zapata. Come on closing credits Ngonge’s great goal, with a left-footed volley. The Olimpico explodes, but Doveri cancels why the ball had gone out before Aboukhlal’s cross. On points, the Granata would have more than deserved a draw.
