A problem that concerns the A league but not just our championship. In the Premier League, for example, there are several clubs that must fall within the limits of 105 million pounds of losses in three years and to do so, exchanges are also being put together between the same clubs targeted by the PSR. Precisely by virtue of what is happening, the Premier League wanted to write a letter, addressed to all the clubs.

This was reported by ‘The Athletic’ which reports a letter received by the Newcastle, as well as the other 19 clubs in the English championship. A letter that clarifies some points relating to the rules on Financial Fair Play, reminding companies of the rules also in consideration of some agreements that were signed before the accounting deadline of 30 June. The reference is precisely to the various exchanges that the clubs are trying to complete, such as the indiscretion of a possible deal between Newcatle and Everton with the exchange between Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Yankuba Minteh.

In the letter, in fact, the English League recalls the right it has to investigate any agreement and that, if it deems it necessary, it also has the right to request information on how it was negotiated or how the transfer fee was determined . In short, a clear warning on possible capital gains due to off-market valuations of players included in exchanges between clubs grappling with the danger of breaking the rules of the Financial Fair Play.

Among the clubs under observation for this reason there are, in addition to Newcastle, also Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, Everton, Aston Villa and newly promoted Leciester. And some of the exchanges completed in recent days concern Aston Villa and Chelsea (Ian Maatsen valued at £35m and Omari Kellyman at £19m) or even Everton and Aston Villa themselves (Tim Iroegbunam and Lewis Dobbin involved). All in the sights of the Premier League which warns the clubs: off-market values will not be tolerated.
