The now former world number one reflects on his current season: something like this had never happened before
The moment of Novak Djokovic is far from positive. A few weeks after the bitter conclusion of the Roland Garroswhere the champion had to raise the white flag in the highlight of the tournament due to a serious knee injury, the Serbian returns to talk about his personal and professional situation.
Certainly, someone like him who is used to winning everywhere hasn’t yet digested the fact of having been overtaken by the much younger man. The Serbian is already in London (a noteworthy clue) and has undergone two important physical tests that will be evaluated by the medical staff in the next few hours. Much of his immediate future will depend on those two tests: he himself said so in an interview with the Agency EFE.
During the interview Djokovic did not mince words, saying that what he felt at Roland Garros was something unique. In fact, it had never happened to him before. “This is the first time in my career that I have suffered an injury. type knee, I’m taking it day by day,” said the former world number one.
But someone like him doesn’t give up and if he’s already in London, ahead of his colleagues, there must be a reason.
