One of the brand’s most iconic motorcycles returns after approximately 40 years, so as to make collectors and enthusiasts from all over the world happy. Obviously, the dealers were immediately mobbed; on the other hand, the name of the model is high-sounding and is ready to upset the European market.
It was way back in 1985 when Kawasaki decided to use a very attractive name for the first time on the ZL900 A1. In that context, it was created one of the first sport cruisers of its time, going to use a sports bike engine on a cruiser chassis. From that moment on, a variety of models were created with displacements ranging from 124 cc to 997 cc.
Today, it is offered on the European and US markets with a 500 cc displacement, while for the Japanese domestic market it was produced with 400 cc. Initially, the ZL900 was produced for only two years and was equipped with a four-cylinder in-line engine with a whopping 908 cc, borrowed from the GPZ900R. Now, however, it has evolved more than ever, satisfying all enthusiasts of the genre, even the most demanding.
After 40 years, it makes its glorious return
The Tokyo company seems to have made the right move and now the dealers are besieged by collectors and enthusiasts from all over the world. The return of the iconic Kawasaki motorcycle, after about 40 years, immediately caused a sensation, given that the pages of various motoring-themed publications do nothing but talk about it.
This is about the Eliminator 500 by Kawasaki, an iconic model of the brand to say the least and ready to face the challenges of change launched by the customized motorcycle segment. In fact, bikers have started to opt for more accessible models, to the detriment of more expensive ones. Precisely for this reason, companies, especially European and Japanese ones, have poured their efforts into producing models with different displacement options.
The Eliminator 500, therefore, makes its return within this context, maintaining a classic style, but combining it with increasingly cutting-edge technology. The right mix of success, capable of fulfilling the desires of fans of the brand and customized motorcycles.
The engine it mounts is a twin-cylinder, that is, an evolution of those mounted on the Z400 and Ninja 400, well known for their efficiency. The displacement has increased to 451 cm³, a guarantee of high performance, but also of more linear and fluid power. It delivers 45 HP of power and can travel 250 km on a full 13 liter tank.
