The world number 1, dressed in white, took to the court in the early afternoon, at the end of his great friend’s training session, Carlos Alcaraz, the last winner of the Championships, the man to beat again this year according to local bookmakers. The Spaniard hugged and greeted Sinner and then also chatted with Djokovic, took to the field with a large grey elastic bandage, to protect his recently operated right knee. Fresh from his success in Halle, Sinner appeared in great shape, already at ease on the Centre Court lawn. The choice of sparring partner of the day was not a coincidence: Djokovic he eliminated him in the last two editions: two years ago by overcoming the initial deficit of two sets, in the semi-final 12 months ago in three sets. The conditions of the Serbian remain to be verified, as he has not yet completely resolved his reservations about his participation.

According to Supertennis, Jannik won the training set with a score of 6-3, with Nole playing with a large elastic bandage protecting his right knee. The Serbian was seen smiling after the training. “I am fine“, he told a group of journalists and made an appointment for tomorrow for the draw. Sinner appeared in great form against Nole, who defeated the Italian in the last two editions of the Championships. If he were to confirm his presence, as everything would suggest after today’s test, Djokovic would be seeded number 2 and therefore on the opposite side of the draw to Sinner who would find in his half of the main draw one between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev.
