There lowering of the tricolor from the bell tower of the church of San Lorenzo overlooking Piazza Roma, the starting and finishing site of all the races, officially kicked off the countdown of the2024 edition of Alpago Bike Funtasticthe three days dedicated to mountain biking which will take place from Friday to Sunday in Chies d’Alpago.

The large flag was brought down from the bell tower by the men of the Alpago del Soccorso alpino stationwhile the Mameli anthem resounded in the air and there was a representation of the Chies alpine group.
The appointment with Alpago Bike Funtastic is on 28, 29 and 30 June. The Italian Team Relay Championship will take place on Friday while the fourth and final round of the Internazionali d’Italia Series will take place on Saturday 29th. The conclusion, next Sunday, is entrusted to a national youth competition for the Boys and Students categories.
«There will be over 800 competitors overall engaged in the three days of Alpago Bike Funtastic”, he underlined Paolo Zanon, president of the Chies cycling club, the reality that takes care of the event. «In these days we are completing the layout of the track, which we have renovated and which will be in line with modern cross country. Thanks in advance to over one hundred volunteers who collaborate in the event».

In terms of valorisation of the territory, Alpago Bike & Food will also take place on Sunday, an excursion open to all to discover the Alpago paths and local gastronomic products. There are two routes available: one 36 kilometers for a thousand meters of altitude difference, the other 28 kilometers for 800 meters of altitude difference, to be tackled with mountain bikes, e-bikes, city bikes and gravel bikes.
