«Shame, seek visibility outside our house»

After what had happened on Thursday evening, Roberto Baggio’s three children (Valentina, the eldest, who lives abroad and was not present during the robbery; Mattia and Leonardo, the youngest) remained in an understandable silence. Yesterday afternoon, however, simultaneously, they vented their anger on social media – Instagram – about what has been happening since Friday outside their home in Altavilla Vicentina.

The target of their outburst is the former mayor of Altavilla Vicentina, Carlo Dalla Pozza (he resigned last January 5, having been elected in 2019 after having already been vice mayor of the town), who according to them is exploiting the situation to gain visibility through the interviews he is giving to the press outside the champion’s home. On Friday, Dalla Pozza himself was among the few to make statements about what had happened: «There is an almost impenetrable hedge around his house – he said – a situation like this had never arisen. QThis is a very serious episode, which triggers fearbecause it is a task force of five people, a group of professionals: these are real criminals.”

Sunday afternoon, Baggio’s three sons they have thus made them the words of the current deputy mayor and councilor for security Silvia Burò, who had openly criticized Dalla Pozza: «In such a delicate moment for the family – she writes – some people, including the former mayor Carlo Dalla Pozza, they prefer to seek personal visibility, through the media, by staying outside the Baggio residence, violating privacy and disturbing the serenity of our fellow citizen and his family.” Words republished by Valentina, Mattia and Leonardo with the latter also writing on social media: “Shame.”
