Free screening for breast cancer prevention: six stops on Italian beaches in June and July

Taking an interest in your health has never been easier: the second edition of the «Vittoria for Women Tour», the itinerant journey throughout the country, created by Vittoria Insurance, in collaboration with the Specchio dei Tempi Foundation and the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR) to raise public awareness on the topic of prevention of oncological diseases in women.

Saturday 22 June, appointment at Milano Marittima, on the Romagna Riviera: in the setting of the Italian Beach Rugby Trophy, the first stage of the new summer roadshow will be held, whose primary objective is to make both women and men more aware and informed about the crucial role that prevention plays in their lives and in that of the people around them.

Accompanied by the claim «female prevention is our goal»in each of the six stages the «VittoriaBus», a traveling information and prevention centre, purchased thanks to the fundraising started in 2023 on the occasion of the first edition of the Tour and donated to the Specchio dei Tempi Foundation, which it will be used as a medical room for a free breast examination. Furthermore, for the entire duration of the initiative, one will be promoted new fundraiser time this year to support the purchase of one or more mobile ultrasound machines to further expand the operation on the national territory.

«With the national tour in 2023, the prevention bus has delivered breast screening and specialist consultations to thousands of women, allowing the early diagnosis of various anomalies and the timely initiation of appropriate treatments – he explains Angelo Conti, project manager for the Specchio dei Tempi Foundation – Thanks to the commitment of doctors, this initiative last year contributed to identify 31 suspected cases, allowing the immediate start of treatment in approximately 25 cases».

On this journey for prevention, participants will also be able to test an innovative solution on site Digital Health, developed by Come Stai in collaboration with the De Pasquale Group. The application will allow them to monitor the most important vital parameters and receive the results of the check up directly on your smartphone.

However, during the «Vittoria for Women Tour» weekends, health will not be the only protagonist: space also for good music and healthy sport with the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR). The summer hits will, in fact, be the soundtrack that will accompany all adults and children who, supported by experts and players, want to learn the techniques of rugby and the values that characterize itfor a truly unique gaming experience.
