In view of Wimbledon they will be played for the second week on grass, between London, Halle, Birmingham and Berlin.

8.50pm – Nothing to do for Lorenzo Sonego (29): the Piedmontese was defeated in two sets in the difficult match against Alexander Zverev (27), who won 6-4, 7-6.

However, just five games into the match against Jordan Thompson (30) the Scotsman was forced to withdraw due to injury.

6.10pm – Surprise result at Queen’s, where Sebastian Korda (23) eliminated Grigor Dimitrov (33). The American won 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.

4.25pm – Arthur Fils (20) beat Dominik Koepfer (30) with a score of 6-3, 6-4.

4.20pm – Elisabetta Cocciaretto (23) is in the quarter-finals in Birmingham: the Italian defeated Sloane Stephens (31) 6-4, 6-2.

3.20pm – Matteo Arnaldi (23) also leaves the scene in London. The blue lost against Rinky Hijikata (23) with a double 7-6.

3.10pm – In Birmingham, Australian Ajla Tomljanovic (31) reached her first quarter-final since 2022 after coming from behind to win against Lin Zhu (30) 6-7(6), 6-1, 6-4.

3.05pm – Nothing to do instead for Luciano Darderi (22), defeated after a daring match against Jan-Lennard Struff (34), who prevailed 6-7, 7-5, 7-6 (10).

1.55pm – Matteo Berrettini (28) qualified for the round of 16 of the tournament in Halle, Germany, beating the 19-year-old American Alex Michelsen (19) in two sets, with a score of 7-6, 6-2. Tomorrow, Berrettini will face another American, Marcos Giron, capable of eliminating the Russian Andrey Rublev, number 4 in the world, on his debut.

09:30 – Welcome to another day of action on the playing fields. There are some big names looking to improve their form on the green grass ahead of Wimbledon.

In Halle, Daniil Medvedev (28) is in action against Zhizhen Zhang (27), while at Queen’s in London Andy Murray (37) plays his 1,001st match on the tour against Jordan Thompson (30) and Grigor Dimitrov (33) faces l rising star Sebastian Korda (23).

In the women’s tournament, former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova (24) will look to improve her form in Berlin, while world number three Aryna Sabalenka (26) will return to the court for the first time since Roland Garros against Daria Kasatkina (27).

In all this there are six Italians who will take the field today: Matteo Berrettini (28), Luciano Darderi (22), Lorenzo Sonego (29), Matteo Arnaldi (23), Elisabetta Cocciaretto (23) and Lucia Bronzetti (25).
