The satisfaction of Ferrari and the world of Italian motoring is great for the victory of the Prancing Horse at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2024 edition. Ferrari repeated the success of 2023 by winning the first victory of this year’s World Endurance Championship, in the most prestigious event. One of the very first to congratulate the team was John Elkannpresident of the Cavallino: “Our first and third place at Le Mans are testimony to how teamwork can make extraordinary goals possible. For this I would like to thank everyone – our drivers, engineers and mechanics – who, during these very tough 24 hours, they showed courage and great tenacity. Antonello Colettahead of Ferrari Endurance and Corse Clienti, is the team principal who led the team to the second consecutive success at Le Mans: “Returning to Le Mans and confirming ourselves as winners, obtaining the eleventh overall success in the history of the Prancing Horse, is something extraordinary – he said – it is the result of great team work which demonstrates how last year’s victory was not at all a coincidence. Finally, at the fourth round of a 2024 season where, until now, we had not managed to climb to the top step of the podium, we returned. to the victory in the most important race of the year, a result that fills us with pride. The manager of the Ferrari cars on the track, Ferdinando Cannizzo, places the emphasis on the work done on the car: “Humility, passion and determination were the basis of this victory – he said – we arrived at Le Mans knowing that we did not have the most competitive car, but aware that we could compete for the our cards. In the last few days, starting from Test Day, we have demonstrated the value of the whole team, analyzing the critical issues and finding the best solutions to be able to have a good race. In recent months we have focused on our 499P with the aim of improving it in every single aspect. In the race, even in the most difficult moments, we faced every problem with concentration and in the final phase, when it was time to attack, we chose to continue with the Medium tyres, despite the risk of rain, capitalizing on the potential of our 499P”.

The world of motoring also greeted this triumph of Ferrari with enthusiasm.
