Two injured people, a policeman and an English national team supporter, both hit on the head and taken away in an ambulance, are the provisional toll, according to what the ‘Guardian’ and other British media report, of the violent clashes between Serbia and England fans that began around to 3 pm in the center of Gelsenkirchen.
The attackers were the hooligans, who began throwing chairs and bottles towards the Serbs. The police intervened with 200 officers and so far there have been no arrests.

However, it is reported that both the policeman and the fan, who appears to be originally from Birmingham, suffered “serious head injuries”.
In Gelsenkirchen there are 30 thousand English fans, but only 20 thousand of them have tickets for the match and further public order problems are feared.
