It happened this morning, during the Sportful Dolomiti Race: a lady behind the wheel was invited by the staff to stop and wait for the cyclists to pass, but she did not respect the invitation, he forced the blockade and continued on his way. Which passed through the blind curve of Forcella Franche, in Rivanonte – a point well known to all cyclists in the area – and here three cyclists engaged in the classic granfondo crashed into her.
Unavoidable accident, very bad collision: the three cyclists suffered multiple fractures and were all hospitalized in Agordo hospital. The lady, who did nothing to herself, justified herself by repeating: «I’m late to go to mass».
There will be no long-lasting consequences for her, not physical but criminal and civil: «There was no way to stop her, we tried in every way but avoiding the accident was impossible – the organizers explained -. ORFor this lady the real problems will begin, we will also appear as a civil party to ask for damages”.
