Berrettini, new ranking: top 50 within reach
‘The Hammer’, Berrettini’s well-known nickname, has guaranteed himself a significant leap in the ATP rankings: the success in Stuttgart guaranteed the Italian a progression of 30 positions compared to the start of the Teutonic event (95). The blue currently occupies the position number 65, 15 places away from the coveted top 50, taking the place of the German Dominik Koepfer; this is a first step for a player who has already reached the top 10 of the ranking, as number 6 in the world in January 2022. After the many physical problems of recent times, Berrettini aims to find continuity and his beloved grass, his reference surface for several years now, can still guarantee him many joys between Halle and Wimbledon.
