Mogliano Veneto has communicated with an official note on its website that Damiano Borean will wear the white and blue shirt in the 2024/2025 season.

The Friulian prop, born in 1997, recently won the title of Italian champion with Petrarca Padova, a team in which he played for 9 nine seasons, in the final on 2 June won in Parma with Viadana Rugby 28-10.

After the return of Edoardo Ferraro and the addition of Giovanni Pettinelli, that of Damiano Borean is another great coup for Mogliano Veneto which further strengthens the forward package.

Serie A Elite: the profile of Damiano Borean

Damiano Borean is a prop born in 1997, 187cm tall and 110kg. He played in the 2015/2016 season for San Donà before moving to Padua and playing for Petrarca for nine seasons, for a total of 117 appearances.

During the experience with i tuttineri he had the opportunity to make his debut with Benetton Rugby in the Pro14 as additional player in 2019. In 2016 he was part of the Under 20 Italian national team and in the three-year period from 2018 to 2021 he was part of the A national team.

With the Petrarca shirt, Damiano Borean won three championships, the last in the Sergio Lanfranchi final on 2 June against Viadana.

The Head Coach of the Biancoblu, Marco Caputo, spoke about the Friulian prop, underlining his skills especially in closed scrums: “Every time we played against him, facing Petrarca, the leadership qualities he possesses were seen very well. It will be a very useful addition also for the growth of our young front lines.”
