Xhaka 7.5 – A great performance from the former Arsenal midfielder, the true brains of the team with illuminating geometries and verticalisations. He comes close to scoring at the end.
Freuler 6.5 – Quantity and substance in midfield for the Bologna player. He comes out exhausted in the last minutes. From 85′ Sierro sv
Ndoye 7 – Frequent ideas on the wing and continuous offensive projections for the Bologna player. A factor on the relevant lane. From 85′ Rieder.
Vargas 6 – He wastes a colossal opportunity opened up by Aebischer, then comes close to scoring, but doesn’t find it. From 74′ Blood clot 7 – He comes in and ends the match with a very heavy goal
Aebischer 8 – Monstrous performance by the Bologna midfielder. He opened the scoring with a kiss assist and doubled the score with a fine finish. Definitely the best in the field.
Duah 6.5 – Unlocks the match with a goal from the penalty area, but then fades increasingly due to physical decline. From 68′ Amdouni 6 – Take over generously.
Murat Yakin 7 – Switzerland wins a match they couldn’t have missed in terms of second place. Excellent first half, restarted solidly, then Embolo closed it out. Aebischer and Duah’s intuitions are excellent. Now the match against Scotland to put pressure on Germany to top the group.
