Jannik Sinner’s adventure in Halle has begun. After the two days in Italy between Sesto Pusteria (to celebrate the historic achievement in the ATP ranking) and Rome (for the medical visits to CONI in view of the Olympics), the new n. 1 in the world flew to Germany where he will participate in the ATP 500 grass tournament, live on Sky Sport and streaming on NOW from 17 to 23 June. Sinner was welcomed by the tournament director, Ralf Weber, with a cake in the shape of the number one to celebrate the historic achievement in the ATP ranking. “Of course I want to fight for the victory, but the competition is strong” said Sinner.

First Halle, then Wimbledon

The Halle tournament will be the only one that Sinner will play on grass before Wimbledonthe third Slam of the season scheduled from 1 to 14 July at the All England Club. For Jannik it will be the third career participation in the German ATP 500. Last year it reached the quarterfinalsretiring at the beginning of the second set against Alexander Bublik due to a muscle problem in his left leg.
