Giulio Fracassi Memorial, tennis and emotions at the Ulivi Sporting Club

The finals of the first Memorial named after Maestro Giulio Fracassi took place yesterday. The Ulivi club wanted to organize a men’s and women’s Open Tournament in memory of the maestro who passed away a year ago. Giulio Fracassi was one of the most appreciated technicians on the Roman scene.

After starting his career at the Corte dei conti club, he had had various experiences in other Roman realities and then landed at the Ulivi Sporting Club where over the last twenty years he had played a fundamental role in the management of the tennis school and the club itself.



Great success for the Memorial dedicated to him which saw over 450 men and women participate, with a prize pool of 2,000 euros. In the men’s Open category Massimo Pizzigoni won over Federico Campana with a score of 7-5 7-6, while in the women’s Open final Sophia Cacace won 6-1 7-6 over Kislitsyna.

The event, in addition to the many emotions linked to the memory of a master who had made tennis a reason for living both on a sporting and educational level, also offered moments of great tennis thanks also to the excellent organization of the Ulivi Sporting Club. The awards ceremony was moving final with great participation of the members and dedication of the club’s pitch No. 1 to Maestro Fracassi.
