The memory of Antonio Bosoni is still alive and this is demonstrated by the participation in the Memorial organized two years after his death in which volleyball teams from Piacenza and many of Antonio’s friends took part, who challenged each other on a volleyball court.
Four teams from our province battled in Ferriere in the morning; preliminary round matches played outdoors, finals moved indoors due to a sudden storm. The success went to Rm Volley ahead of Volley Team 03, Carpaneto and Monticelli. The girls were awarded by Carlotta Oppizzi, mayor of Ferriere, Andrea Casazza, President of the Ferriere Sport Camp, Mina Cadamuro, Vice President of Fipav Piacenza and Anna Bosoni, Antonio’s widow.
Once the awards ceremony was over, two teams made up of Antonio’s friends were back on the pitch. Claudio Bulla, Filippo Amani, Davide Cantarelli, Mario Bosoni, Marco Moia, Roberto Brambilla, Carlo Civetta, Cesare Sfolcini, Paolo Villani, Nando Galli, Marco Ziliani, Loretta Mirabile, Michela Casaroli and Carlo Orsi took to the pitch, led by benched by Adolfo Zilocchi and Lele Boselli, former managers of Piacenza Volleyball, while Maurizio Giani refereed.
At the end of the match everyone was invited to the rich buffet offered by the Ferriere Sport Camp in the person of the president Andrea Casazza, creator and collaborator of the event together with Marco Bergonzi (former President of Fipav Piacenza and speaker for the occasion), Fipav Piacenza, Coni and Municipality of Ferriere.
Many stopped by to watch the matches, but also just to say hello or to have lunch with the participating teams; a very successful event and the presence of hundreds of people testifies to how much Antonio was loved and well-liked.
