An absolute first time. AWS, partner of Formula 1 since 2018, presented the trophy designed by generative artificial intelligence and which will be given to the riders who will stand on the podium in Montreal at the end of the Canadian GP. The goal was to create a trophy capable of capturing the rich historyL’elegance and the tradition of Formula 1, taking advantage of AWS’ generative artificial intelligence models. The partnership – we read in the AWS document – aims to “drive creativity and solutions across the sport, as well as increase operational efficiency”.

The AI, the tradition and the fans

This trophy features details that celebrate local culture, such as a Maple Leaf and the San Lorenzo River of Montreal and was made by a British craftsman. AWS and Formula 1 then invited fans to take part in a competition to design their own trophy using the “PartyRock F1 Trophy Generator“. The winners will be present at a GP in 2025.

The new frontiers of Artificial Intelligence in Formula 1

This collaboration between AWS and F1 is also foreseen “Statbot”, a tool based on generative AI that will rapidly analyze historical Formula 1 data. But not only that: you also bet to the analysis of the causes of technical problems during races.
