Daniel de Rossi he was invited as a guest to the fifth edition of ‘The coach experience’, an event organized by AIAC. The Giallorossi coach focused on numerous topics, including the relationship with the new sporting director Florent Ghisolfi and the future of Rome. Here are his words: “I approach this season with great enthusiasm and a lot of presence, perhaps too much, given that I am in Trigoria every day. But there is a need to stay there and exchange opinions with the director and the club. Yesterday we had a long and beautiful meeting on what our objectives are and what our future will be. Maybe in 10 years I’ll take some holidays and move away from Rome a bit, but for the moment I want to stay there, I need it“.
The Champions League missed by a whisker?
“It may have been a whiff, but in reality if we say that then we can rest assured that next year we will win the cup. Bayer Leverkusen were superior to us and we want to improve.”
Ghisolfi?
“We are working well, it’s lucky. We didn’t know each other, we speak two different languages even if we communicate in English, anything could have happened and instead we fit together well: Ghisolfi, his collaborator Simone, Lina, Maurizio and all the people who already they worked with me.”
What Rome could be next year?
“I try to give her a positive attitude and attitude on the pitch. The concept of hunger is generic, but if we start from the desire to feel better than we have been, it is the right basis. I cannot accept anything less than what we have seen in magical evenings like Roma-Lazio, Roma-Brighton, Roma-Milan and Milan-Roma both in terms of attitude and performance. Then obviously the teams change, perhaps adding some characteristics that are missing.”
