The light blue completes the Ducati Factory double

“I’m sincere: I was in a state of grace, in the sense that I felt great, as I did throughout the race, but I had a phase where I was a bit relaxed. If I can blame myself for anything it’s that moment, but the last few laps I did a bit crazy and I felt in a state of grace, I was able to do what I wanted with the bike. I told myself I could get through it, and it was kind of crazy. At the start of the race I had already been close to Jorge, I had studied him and I saw that there he always wanted to break away strong as is right to defend himself. I tried to break away hard, but the only chance I had was to stay as tight as possible at the last corner: I stayed tight, I could hear the rear saying ‘help’, but then I managed to come out strong. It was the only chance I had. When I have fun and everything is under control I perform better. I still need a little bit to try to win races, but I’ve found my form again. Barcelona was a chapter apart, at Le Mans we could be very fast, and today the bike was really good. When I’m like today I always manage to do something more.”
