Formula 1, the ranking changes: the announcement arrives

Important turning point in the world of Formula 1. They will try to overturn the ranking

If this isn’t a real turning point then we’re close. The fact is, however, that the world of Formula 1 could undergo important “changes”. The same ones that bear the signature of Mercedes. During the Miami Grand Prix there were very small steps forward with a Mercedes-led power unit that returned to success with Lando Norris on McLaren, who then confirmed himself among the protagonists also in Imola. A victory that hasn’t occurred for two years, that is since Brazilian Grand Prix.

Mercedes, however, did not go beyond sixth and seventh place in Emilia Romagna. Positive responses, however, come directly from the team principal Toto Wolff who wanted to take stock of the situation on the updates fitted to Russell and Lewis Hamilton’s W15s.

The two silver arrows pilots try to see the light at the end of a tunnel of negative results and uncertainties.

F1, Wolff believes it: “At Imola we will join the leading group”

He actually spoke during a press conference Toto Wolff in which he revealed the latest updates and, above all, what the team’s objectives are. In Imola he admits that gods were made steps forward very important. Congratulations were also given to the team who, in addition to working hard, brought the last ones onto the track updates. As a result, the performance was significantly superior to the latest releases.

Improvements which, however, were also found in the other cars. On this he clarified: “Compared to the top three teams we are still one step behind. A sign that there is still a lot of work to do. We are still working. Now we have a more solid foundation where we can build something important. We don’t lack trust. Over time we will be able to join the leading group“.

There’s no time to rest since, in just a few days, we’ll be back on the track. The next commitment will be to Monk where the climate will be fiery. Everyone wants to win (primarily the ‘host’ Charles Leclerc), but Mercedes also intends to make a good impression and gradually try to subvert the ranking. On the Monegasque track he can only say words of praise: “It’s a unique circuit, it will be a fantastic challenge for teams and drivers. We want to offer a good show.”
