There is considerable discussion in the F1 and FIA circles about what happened in Miami regarding Kevin Magnussen’s race conduct. The pilot of the Haasduring Sprint Racedeliberately committed some misconduct, once penalized, to favor his teammate’s race by slowing down Lewis Hamilton and effectively ruining his mini race for his own gain team.
The same Danish pilot as F1, at the end of the session he made it known that he was not at all happy about using similar stratagems to help the team and his teammate, but he made it clear that he couldn’t do without it. He was also a repeat offender, given that with similar maneuvers, even a Jeddah he penalized the competition of the others after receiving sanctions, always to favor Hulkenbergplaced in the points.

As also said by Laurent Mekies, team main of theAlphaTauri and former member of the FIAin those cases the penalty must be tightened, giving the pilot a Drive Attraverso, a penalty that has practically disappeared from the regulation (or rather, it exists, but is no longer applied). Exact same thing for the ten seconds of Stop&Goso as not to allow the already sanctioned pilots to do whatever they want, as if they were playing a game F1 at the PlayStation in a competition online.
F1, will the FIA be more strict from Imola onwards?
It’s strange to have these speeches in a period in which the FIA it also sanctions a deeper breath, but it seems that things may change soon. The frustration of Kevin after Sprint Race Of You love me it was evident, all the anger of the case could be seen on his face and this, humanly speaking, can do nothing but displease, but behavior like the one shown in Florida (and partly also in Miami) cannot and must not be tolerated by those who are called to judge behavior on the track, especially when anyone is sanctioned, unfortunately, in recent years. We hope that things can change substantially soon.
