Basketball Rome – Turin Teen Basketball
The playout day will open with the match between Basket Roma and Torino Teen Basket (Wednesday, 3.30 pm). Roma will be playing an inside-outside match, but will have the advantage of the field factor on their side, a two-faced aspect in the Capitoline season: in the regular season, in fact, Roma achieved all its victories within friendly walls, while in the play-outs it lost both home matches played against Ancona, thus being forced to play the second round. However, Torino is a team that has struggled a lot on the road this year, even if the enthusiasm following the victory in Game 1 could be a factor for the Piedmontese. In fact, in the opening match, after chasing for four quarters, Torino turned the situation around, managing to find parity twenty seconds from the end with Tortora’s layup and taking home the victory thanks to a 13-point overtime. The Piedmontese team has demonstrated good mental solidity, an aspect that could prove decisive in the series. Turin’s main limitation remains the turnovers, which in Game 1 amounted to 31, with Claudia Colli losing 12 in an 18-point match. Roma, on the other hand, hopes to be able to find alternatives to the Lucantoni trio -Aghilarre-Fantini, given that the three players alone scored 48 of the team’s 60 total points. The bench contributed only 6 points, compared to 22 from the Piedmontese reserves and the tiredness of the starters was a factor in the extra time. Torino is currently ahead 2-1 in previous seasons, even if it lost the regular season match played in Rome.
Carugate Bathroom Size – Velcofin Interlocks Vicenza
In the evening the clash between Dimensione Bagno Carugate and Velcofin Interlocks Vicenza will take place (Wednesday, 8.30 pm). The Venetian team took home Game 1 in a match in which, in addition to the initial 7-11, they never allowed Carugate to take the lead. Vicenza led the match from start to finish, even if it got distracted towards the end and almost allowed Carugate to make a sensational comeback: after having held a double-digit lead for a long time, Vicenza in fact suffered a partial score of 16-28 in the the last half which brought the guests up to -4, even if the time available to try to get even closer was over. The series now moves to Carugate, a positive aspect for the Lombard team, which has obtained almost all its seasonal victories within friendly walls. On the other hand, however, there is a Vicenza team that has demonstrated this season that it knows how to assert itself even away from home, with four victories obtained away from its own stadium. To try to end their season early, the Venetian team will absolutely have to limit the number of turnovers, which were 33 in Game 1, hoping to be able to find another evening of grace in three-point shooting, after having achieved with 50% in the opening match. Vicenza dominated in rebounding (44-28) and doubled Carugate in points from the bench (28-14). Carugate played a good match in the steals, recovering 17 balls and found the best performance of the season from Ilaria Nespoli, author of 17 points. If the Lombard team manages to involve all its players more, it will be able to hope for a victory that would allow it to still have a chance to remain in Serie A2.
