The Spaniard explains this weekend’s problems, but is confident for the future: “The goal is to stay in front”

UA weekend spent in the top positions but without great results. This is how Maverick Vinales comments on his Grand Prix at Le Mans, which he finished in fifth place. He doesn’t say he’s disappointed and is already aiming for the next race in Barcelona, aware of the work to be done at Aprilia.
How do you comment on your race?
“I leave satisfied, in the end our goal is to be in front. This weekend we struggled more: we weren’t perfect, even if at a certain point in the race I had a good pace, we missed out on good results”
What did you suffer the most?
“More than the temperature on the track, we suffered in braking because we lacked grip. We need to stay calm and analyze all the data. It can happen, I drove well. I noticed a bit of chattering, I tried to survive the last 10 laps of the race but Bastianini came on strong”
What do you expect in view of Barcelona?
“Now we have maximum concentration because we have a good opportunity in Barcelona: we arrive with a different mentality because the weekend there last year was beautiful”
