changes to the traffic along the entire route are triggered

Everything is ready for the 36th edition of Bicincittà, the Uisp event which takes place in various Italian cities and which also returns as a protagonist in Pescara. A non-competitive ride that will see thousands of bicycles moving along the 10 kilometer route that winds through the streets of Pescara and to allow it to take place, changes to the road network are planned throughout the morning of Sunday 12 May.

Along the route and in the rest areas, local police officers will take care of traffic in collaboration with the organizers of the event itself and volunteers.

Specifically, the ordinance provides:

  • from 6am to 2pm the modification of the road system on Piazza della Rinascita (Piazza Salotto) authorizing the transit and parking of all vehicles supporting the event
  • the establishment of No passing on viale Regina Margherita from 9am to 1pm as the route involves the passage of vehicles in the opposite direction to ordinary traffic and in any case for the time strictly necessary for the passage of the vehicles participating in the event;
  • a temporary modification of the current road regulations for the entire duration of the cycling event in the following streets: viale Regina Margherita (northbound), viale Mazzini (seabound), viale della Riviera (northbound), viale Cavour, piazza Duca degli Abruzzi, viale Bovio with a turn onto via Pellico (before the Bingo car park heading north), viale Muzii (heading the sea), viale Regina Margherita (heading south), via Fabrizi, via Venezia, corso Vittorio Emanuele (heading north), via Teramo, via De Gasperi (heading north), first railway underpass towards via Rigopiano, stretch of via Ferrari (heading south), via del Circuito, piazza Pierangeli, via Le Mainarde, via Valle Roveto (heading sea ), Poets riverfront, via Paolucci (towards the sea), seafront Matteotti, via Galilei, via Fabrizi (northbound)
