Audi, the future of Zhou and Bottas defined for 2025

According to recent rumors from Germany, Audi has defined the futures of Guanyu Zhou and Valtteri Bottas for next season

While waiting to understand who will join Nico Hulkenberg in Stake in 2025, Audi appears to have made a decision on the future of Guanyu Zhou and Valtteri Bottas, both expiring at the end of the season, and with one of the two inevitably having to make room upon the arrival of the German, who in turn will leave Haas at the end of this championship.

As reported by Sports Bild in the last few hours, However, the Neuburg team would have decided to discard both drivers, thus starting from a completely new line-up in 2025. The number one objective obviously always remains Carlos Sainz, even if the time available to communicate a final decision is starting to run out.

According to the German newspaper, there is a lack of trust behind Zhou and Bottas’s departure, with Audi leaders “not convinced that they can realize Audi’s ambition: to establish themselves among the top teams, such as Red Bull and Mercedes, and compete for the world championship”.

Bottas himself also expressed his opinion on Hulkenberg’s announcement over the weekend in Miami, saying he was surprised by the timing: “Certain, the timing is quite early and a little surprising, but the driver market is starting to move. Has also sense”.
