At the Hive Stadium in Edinburgh the Zebre lost 40-14 in the 16th round of the United Rugby Championship, the franchise remained in the game and within break distance until the 66th minute but then the greater Scottish caliber prevailed. Fifteen defeats in sixteen games for the Zebre.
The Scots, called upon to take full advantage to enter the playoff zone, asserted their physicality and experience in a closed scrum, obtaining several free kicks and scoring three tries in rapid sequence at the end of the match with the match now over. Despite this, the Zebre remained in the game and thanks to Prisciantelli’s goal, deployed as a fullback for the occasion, they closed the first half 19-7.
In the second half, Zebre were the first to score. They do it in the 57th minute with Trulla, caught wide by Montemauri’s assist. The game was hard fought until the 66th minute when Edinburgh scored through substitute Dean. It’s the goal that splits the game and makes the match slip into the hands of the home team who ruthlessly extend the lead in the last quarter of an hour of play.

The Zebre will meet at the Cittadella del Rugby in Parma on Monday 13 May in view of the 17th round of the BKT United Rugby Championship scheduled for Friday 17 May at Lanfranchi against the Gallesi Scarlets.
