Marc Marquez looking for that extra step useful for definitively getting back to roaring. The Iberian warms up his engines ahead of the French GPappointment number six of 2024 MotoGP World Championshiptaking place as usual on the legendary Le Mans track.

The centaur, from this year under the Ducati Gresini Racing teamis fresh from a significant performance accomplished in the home GP, which ended with a very entertaining head-to-head with Francesco Bagnaia, the latter very good at coming out on top by doing door swings with the red fury. A topic that could not fail to be addressed at the beginning of the classic presentation press conference:

It was special when you think about where we came from. It wasn’t an extremely special race but being in Spain, given that we were coming from a difficult moment and fighting with the best of everyone, it was great to have the pace to be able to compete. It’s been a long time since I felt this fast on a Sunday. The Spaniard then continued: “I just came into a special situation. I feel better on the track, I feel stronger and more confident. In the next few years the objective will clearly be different and if you want to fight for the Championship you must have the most up-to-date material. However, I want to be fast on the track. If I am, there will be more possibilities“.

And on the feeling on the track: “I have always felt at ease at Le Mans, I feel good. Now this is the bike. It’s up to me to figure out how to go faster“. And on the possible permanence also in 2027: “I’ve seen the new rules, I haven’t looked into them in depth but they seem to lend themselves more to spectacle, this is positive for the drivers: if there are fewer technical aspects the value of the driver stands out more. I like this, it’s a path they’ve already taken in F1.”
