Visit in Region this afternoon for the Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina. The men’s volleyball team is returning from an important result obtained just two weeks ago: the promotion to the Super League for the first time in the history of the club and, for the first time in the history of Italian volleyball, of a team of just over three thousand inhabitants like the town stop.
To welcome the group, coached by Massimiliano Ortenzi and accompanied by all the technical staff and managers of the M&G Volleyball School sports club of Grottazzolina, were the president of the Region Francesco Acquaroli and the sports councillor, Chiara Biondi, who congratulated themselves on the goal achieved in the top series of the Italian men’s volleyball championship, which every year is organized by the Lega Pallavolo Serie A in collaboration with Fipav. Also present were national managers of the Italian Volleyball Federation and the president of Coni Marche, Fabio Luna.
For the occasion, the value of sport as a factor of development, inclusion, and vehicle for promoting the territory and its importance for the spirit of communities was highlighted, especially for small ones, such as Grottazzolina: a living reality that demonstrates how can reach the highest goals with commitment and tenacity.
