On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May the “Albonico” sports facility in Strada del Barocchio 27 in Grugliasco will host the first edition of the “Una Mole di rugby” Tournament – National Trophy of the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Propaganda category and the sixth edition of the Old Amateur Tournament – Rhino day.
The “Una Mole di rugby” tournament is organized by the rugby section of CUS Torino and is reserved for boys and girls aged 5 to 12 years. On Saturday starting from 2 pm, the event will be inaugurated by a series of meetings of “old” teams, made up of the parents of the young athletes who will compete in the tournament. There are many rugby clubs from Piedmont and beyond that have confirmed their presence, the participation of at least 550 young male and female athletes, accompanied by 300 “old” players.
Saturday will be broadcast live on radio on radiobandito.it with the presence of radio DJs on the field who will give space to the interventions of the protagonists of the old tournament and to solidarity and charity initiatives. Also curated by radiobandito.it is the soundtrack of the Terzo Tempo party on Saturday evening starting from 9pm: DJ Pippo Frau will take to the console at 10.30pm preceded for the occasion by a live band, rock n Rino, composed exclusively by players of the Tournament and the performance of an international guest, the New Zealand rapper MighteeMike.
The aim of the event is to experience a moment of sharing and diffusion of rugby values, transversal between different generations with support for the solidarity projects carried out by the Rinoceronti Rugby Torino together with the Paideia Foundation for the support of children in difficulty, to the “Friends of Mirko” association and to the parents of little Francesco.
The sports program includes adults performing on Saturday 12th May starting from 2pm, while on Sunday 13th children will be on the field starting from 9am. News on the event can be found on www.rinocerontirugby.it/mole.
