Powerful sprint by Arnaud De Lie in the Tro-Bro Leon, from Le Carpont Plouguin to Lannilis over 203 kilometres, which took place on the roads of France. The Belgian from Lotto Dstny, at his seasonal encore after the Famenne Classic, led a group of eight athletes including Luca Mozzato who finished in seventh place.
Race animated by the long escape of the South African Van Niekerk which the group catches up with just 6 kilometers from the end. Then De Lie, Gautherat and Sheehan leave, joined by Mozzato’s group 1700 meters from the finish. The sprint is thrown to Abrahamsen but De Lie uses all his power and wins ahead of Venturini and Sheehan.
