Exactly one year ago Andrea Montagner won the title of Regional Champion for Friuli Venezia Giulia at the finish line in Fiaschetti di Caneva (Pn). After 365 days, President Pietro Nardin’s boyfriend gave an extraordinary encore to Borgo Molino Vigna Fiorita.
Tough race, the one designed over the 12 rounds of the Fiaschetti circuit characterized by the rise of Sarone, which saw Borgo Molino Vigna Fiorita make a loud statement from the start. During the last climb, Andrea Montagner accelerated decisively, taking only Leonardo Consolidani (Work Service) with him. In the last kilometers the two collaborated and thus arrived on the finishing line with a handful of seconds on their closest pursuers: Andrea Montagner’s sprint was the winner and he outpaced his adventure companion thus achieving his second success of the season after the one obtained. Wednesday alone in Badoere (TV).
“My physical condition is finally improving and I’m starting to get some results. Today I wanted to do well also because I had already won here last year. In the first part of the race the pace wasn’t very fast and for this reason in the end I struggled a little more to make a difference but I’m happy to have succeeded. I dedicate this success to the team and to my family” commented a smiling Andrea Montagner after the finish line.
