The 2024 World Relays are the World Relay Championships, which will be staged over the weekend of May 4-5 in Nassau (Bahamas). This is a world championship reserved exclusively for 4×100 and 4×400, gender and mixed (the latter only for the team mile). The event will be extremely important because will qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics: in every single race, fourteen passes are up for grabs for the five-circle review.

The ticket to the Games will be won by the eight teams that advance to the final and the best six in the repechage round. In fact, 32 teams are taking part in the heats (the top eight of the last World Cup and the other 24 best in the international ranking): whoever manages to qualify for the final round will fly directly to Paris, while the eliminated teams will have a repechage available where they will battle for six more passes.

However, sixteen relay teams will participate in the Olympics. If fourteen are determined through the World Relays, who will the remaining two be? There will be plan B of the World Athletics ranking, which will select the best two teams not yet admitted. Italy will show up at the event to celebrate with all the relays, without having to cling to the world rankings.
