According to Bild, the Austria coach said no because he was not convinced of the double role
The current coach of the Austrian national team, Ralf Rangnick, has rejected Bayern Munich’s offer to replace Thomas Tuchel from next season. This was revealed by the German tabloid Bild, according to which Rangnick will remain at the helm of Austria until the 2026 World Cup, respecting his contract with the Austrian football federation.

This is a new refusal for Bayern who, again according to the German media, have already tried to hire the Bayer Leverkusen coach, Xabi Alonso and the Germany coach, Julian Nagelsmann (it seems that Zidane also said no). According to Bild, the refusal of Rangnick, 65, is linked to a “lifestyle choice”. The coach does not intend to carry out a double role, planning the Bayern squad while he is busy at the European Championships with Austria, facing the pressure associated with managing a top club like the Bavarian one. Furthermore, Bayern fans, in recent weeks, have started a petition (collected 15 thousand signatures) to invite Tuchel to remain on the Bavarian bench.
