Nicolò D’Alessandro from Varese is the new Lombard road champion in the Junior category. The rider from Castellanza, bearer of the Sc Fagnano Nuova, emerged victorious in the battle that characterized the Criterium 648, a race this year combined with the Lombardy Regional Road Championship for the Junior category
Big celebration for him at the finish line in Piazza dell’Orologio in Clusone where he preceded his breakaway companion Filip Novak, a strong Czech athlete from Ciclistica Trevigliese. Riccardo Colombo of Pool Cantù-GB Junior completed the podium of the day.
The boys of the organizing association, the Scuola Ciclismo Cene, were also involved in the home race and put in a lot of effort, but were unable to enter the top 10 of the day.
The competition took place over a total of 115 kilometers with a first circuit repeated four times and then a second longer-range circuit to be repeated three times. The route, in addition to Clusone, touched the municipalities of Rovetta, Fino del Monte, Onore, Songavazzo and Cerete.
The president of the Sc Cene Mauro Bonzi and the sporting director Marco Valoti closed with full satisfaction the day which also remembered the memory of a dear friend like Daniele Fiorina.
