Paulo Fonseca is one of the names on the list of possible candidates for the Milan bench. The Portuguese coach, who also has a past at Roma, is here two seasons at the helm of Lille in Ligue 1. He brought the French back to Europe and he is writing history of the club. His results, for the second consecutive year, allowed him to be named among the possible winners of the best coach award in the French top division. In contention with Fonseca are Elsner (Le Havre), Luis Enrique (PSG), Haise (Lens), Roy (Brest). A recognition that is the direct consequence of Fonseca’s excellent work in France: currently Lille is fourth and in contention for direct access to the Champions League.
