Formula 1 fans have experienced more enjoyable moments in the history of the magical book of Motorsport. F1 single-seaters with naturally aspirated engines had an average of around 1.7 kilometers per liter while today, with the new hybrid technologies, it has reached almost 3 km, 2.7 to be precise, traveled with one liter of fuel. Do you know how many km you can do in a year? The numbers are absurd. In the future everything will change. From 2027, the new fuels will have 10% ethanol, obtained with zero impact, again for environmental improvement.
PUs will change with a view to higher sustainability of the entire circus. There will be engines with 50% thermal part and 50% electrical part. A solution that could further distort the competition on the track. We will also start from a blank sheet of paper with regards to the new frames. Red Bull Racing, without the security of Honda PUs, will have to build the new engines at home.
The Austrian team could also lose the Deus Ex Machina Newey and in an era characterized by the greater importance of the vehicle compared to the driver it could be a decisive signal. The drinks team’s empire could collapse. Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes and all the teams that aspire to win are observing the situation extremely carefully.
