Coach Leonardo Barbieri’s history with CDA Volley Talmassons FVG will continue next season, for the first time in the top flight after conquering Serie A1 in the extraordinary playoff run that has just ended.
For coach Leonardo Barbieri it will be the fifth year on the bench of the Pink Panthers. Arriving in 2020, he immediately left his mark on a technical and tactical level, allowing the team to achieve constant growth. Three playoff appearances in four seasons, with the last one marking the jump in category after overcoming Messina and Busto Arsizio in the semi-final and final respectively.
The coach, at the dawn of his fifth year on the bench of CDA Volley Talmassons FVG, talks about his emotions and sensations like this: “THEor I feel good here, society knows it. We want to raise the bar even further. I am very happy to remain here for next season and we can’t wait to embark on this new journey in the top flight together.”
Sporting director Gianni De Paoli expresses himself as follows regarding the coach’s confirmation: “Giving continuity to the staff’s work was and is the most important thing and in this sense Leo’s confirmation was obvious regardless of the result achieved. This is his fourth promotion, so more than anyone he will know how to lead the team and know the ways to raise the bar again. It must be said of Leo that in addition to being an excellent coach, he also allowed us to grow as a club from the moment he arrived, always respecting the means we had available. We can almost define him as a “corporate” coach because he manages to make the best use of the means that he has at his disposal and that the company offers. We are happy and proud to continue this journey with him.”
Good luck therefore to coach Barbieri, who is ready to get involved again on the Friulian bench in the Olympus of national volleyball.
